His Girl Friday

In His Girl Friday, hard-driving newspaper editor Walter Burns learns that his star reporter and ex-wife, Hildy Johnson, plans to leave journalism behind and marry a mild-mannered insurance man. Determined to keep both his best reporter and perhaps his former marriage from slipping away, Walter lures Hildy into covering one last explosive story involving a condemned prisoner and a city government eager to control the fallout. As Hildy is pulled back into the adrenaline, wit, and chaos of the newsroom, her supposedly settled future begins to look far less certain.
